Well, I guess I’m out there. Are we “lovin’ it?”

(7/18/24) In the midst of ordering a book proof and trying to set up the release date of my novel, I did in fact click on “publish.” I guess I should have known… What I’m trying to say is that Amazon has “outed me.” I’m all the way “out there.” Alas, I’ve checked everything twice, but I haven’t yet checked it thrice.

The one thing I can confirm, and the reason I’m releasing this image (despite the fact it’s already been released) is that the cover won’t essentially be changed. This thing, this wonderful Maybeth thing, which was hatched conceptually months ago, was and had to be meticulously crafted by the little elves of “Two Goats Press.”

Who could they be? It’s a mystery. And yet my head hurts from all the formatting… I lost soul points, and my wife lost sleep because someone I had wanted to pay for the privilege wouldn’t take my money. (??)

Given that I wasn’t expecting this, I’ll have more to say on this tomorrow[EDIT: (7/19/24) Actually, gimme a couple of days, I’m going to write a big informative post], but let me hit you with some tentative facts:

Amazon, as of right now, is your source for this book. It’s thanks to them that I can get it to you sooner now than later. WHEN: Research the start date of the Battle of Chickamauga. HOW: Hard and Ephemeral (i.e. hardcover and eBook. As of now there is yet a softcover option). WHO: As I said, “Two Goats Press” is a mystery, wrapped in an enigma, searching for a state. WHAT: This is a serious, wholesome, middle-grade novella set in North Florida during 1867. It necessarily involves certain historical themes and some language. I will be asking librarians to consider stocking it where they might put Huck Finn. WHY: OK, MMC… =P

Anyway, I have to make dinner. Please buy my book. I assure you if you like the synopsis you will not be disappointed.

P.S. It still technically hasn’t been proofed yet and may be delayed. SMH I wasn’t even supposed to be writing this right now. (But it’s probably gonna be OK, right? Hopefully…) See you soon.
