(12/21/19) I am delighted to report that my hardcover has been adopted by The Three Rivers Regional Library System of north Florida! If you are a patron, please be sure to check me out. And if you live in the area but don’t yet have your library card, I’ve only one thing to say to you: what are you waiting for!?
It was wonderful meeting with the staff at the Branch Library in historic Perry last month. Thank you guys so much for adding me to your collection.
Elsewhere, my Hoopla eBook has been spotted in the City of Lincoln Nebraska Libraries, as well as in the Jackson District Library up in Michigan, and so I have updated my master state list accordingly.
In other news, I have been doing some holiday baking. This year, instead of the usual caramel pecan tart, I opted to try my hand at authentic German Butterkuchen. That’s it pictured above. You may recall that I name check that very treat in chapter three of my book. Well, this was my first try making one. I guess I’ll call it a qualified success. I made two, actually, because the first turned out too bland. While it wasn’t ‘give it to the birds bad’, it did need further work. The second turned out much better, but still needs some tinkering. I may even switch recipes altogether, and so won’t bother yet posting my process. It could be that I’ll never be able to quite capture the magic I remember from those Schweinfurt bakeries…
