Release Countdown: Day Six, or is it “Day ZERO”?

(Day 6) OK, today I had another idea planned for my “13 day countdown” post, but since I’ve been out running around all morning to bookshops and libraries in the shockingly premature summer-like heat (and this from someone who remembers band camp in the blazing (<-why might that be italicized) deep south back in the day…), and since I have some surprising news, I’ll go ahead and hit you with that today, and save for tomorrow what I had planned for today.

Did you know that my book is orderable RIGHT NOW through the publisher? Well, you do now! I didn’t actually know this. I just learned it in an email. I thought it was merely “pre-orderable” as with the rest of the outlets. You’ll have to forgive my debut author naiveté.

Anyway, you need not wait until June 17th when the rest of the online shops receive it, you can get it right now, and by “it” I mean the hardcover  (i.e. the physical book itself is NOT now “pre-order” through BookBaby, it’s just “order”: you can order it, get it without delay, and read it right now). So, feel free to go ahead and scoop it up! And you probably should given that I activated those limited supply coupons yesterday… Operative words: “limited supply”.

The eBook might still be on a delay because I put in a manual available date for it of the 4th of June (the official publication date), but, who knows, if you want that instead, you could at least give it a try. Either way, I’m sure you can take advantage of one of those coupons.

If you are of limited means, I am working on this too! I expect/hope to have some good news about available library copies soon. I’ve had some great conversations with some great people… One of them in an absolutely gorgeous, huge, and underutilized facility!

As my protagonist Elke might say, “The more books the better.”
